“Attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places” was the mantra of photographer Slim Aarons. After serving as a combat photographer in World War II, Aarons wanted to shift his focus to subjects that were more pleasant and fun than the horrors of the battlefield. He began freelancing for magazines such as Life, Harper’s Bazaar and Town & Country, turning the lens of his Leica towards the charmed life of wealthy socialites and celebrities. Slim Aarons: Once Upon a Time collects over two hundred and fifty of his subtly decadent, glowing images of the good life. Spanning from the postwar period to the 1980’s, these environmental portraits capture elite members of society, Hollywood, fashion, royalty and industry enjoying themselves among country homes, grand ballrooms, sun-kissed seaside getaways and snowy European enclaves. While they are a product of a bygone era, Aarons’ images resonate today as the precursor to celebrity lifestyle photography becoming ubiquitous.   • WHITE GLOVE DELIVERY — Your order will be shipped to a local delivery company, who will contact you to set up delivery. They will unwarp, inspect, assemble and place your item in your home. Arrives in 2-3 weeks.

Return Policy

Non-furniture Merchandise
Return non-furniture items purchased on our website within 30 days of original delivery for a full refund. We will inspect the returned item(s) and issue a refund to the same credit card used for original purchase. You will receive a confirmation email once we have processed your credit. All shipping charges are non-refundable and will be deducted from your refund.


In-stock Furniture Items

We accept returns of furniture in its original condition when you contact us within 14 days of receiving your item. To receive a full refund, call us at 800.472.1885 or email us at returns@jaysonhome.com. We will arrange to have the item(s) picked up by a local freight company, who will contact you to coordinate pick up. Once returned to our warehouse, we will inspect your item(s) and issue a refund accordingly. Damage or other conditional issues may require deductions from your refund.
