We all know Edward Lear for his delightfully nonsensical verses, but few remember that the 19th-century poet and limericist also had a short career as an ornithological illustrator in his teenage years. Using the live birds housed at London’s Zoological Gardens as models, the young artist created beautiful ink, graphite and watercolor sketches of countless exotic species. Many of these colorful and unusual sketches were recreated as lithographs and bound together as Illustrations of the Family of Psittiacidae, or Parrots, published before Lear had even turned twenty. Our Green Parrot Print is a stunning facsimile of a portrait from this collection, depicting a vibrant species now commonly known as the rose-ringed parrakeet. This naturalistic illustration is surrounded by the artist’s hand-written notations and color samples, which together give it all the feel of a true one-of-a-kind original. We’ve stuck with its antique vibe and finished it in a classic black frame with a gilded interior edge for just a hint of shine. Perfect for bringing a bit of history to any space, we love this print on its own or mixed in with our other vintage-inspired works for a gallery wall with a collected feel.

  • FRONT DOOR DELIVERY — Your order will be shipped to a local delivery company, who will contact you to set up delivery. They will leave your wrapped order at the first dry/secure area. Arrives in 1-2 weeks.
  • WHITE GLOVE DELIVERY — Your order will be shipped to a local delivery company, who will contact you to set up delivery. They will unwarp, inspect, assemble and place your item in your home. Arrives in 2-3 weeks.

Return Policy

Non-furniture Merchandise
Return non-furniture items purchased on our website within 30 days of original delivery for a full refund. We will inspect the returned item(s) and issue a refund to the same credit card used for original purchase. You will receive a confirmation email once we have processed your credit. All shipping charges are non-refundable and will be deducted from your refund.


In-stock Furniture Items

We accept returns of furniture in its original condition when you contact us within 14 days of receiving your item. We will arrange to have the item(s) picked up by a local freight company, who will contact you to coordinate pick up. Once returned to our warehouse, we will inspect your item(s) and issue a refund accordingly. Damage or other conditional issues may require deductions from your refund.
