We love textiles — especially textiles that are rich in history and meaning, like our Black and White African Mudcloth. An age-old Malian craft, mudcloth, or bògòlanfini, has been crafted by West African people since roughly the 12th century. An arduous process that takes weeks to complete, this traditional textile starts with narrow strips of cotton fabric, which are stitched together to create a larger whole. Our Black and White African Mudcloth is dyed using the mashed and boiled leaves of native wolobugun trees until it takes on a yellow hue. After sun-drying, the fabric is hand-painted with a natural black pigment made from fermented river mud, creating minimalist geometric motifs that are rich in meaning. Once these designs have dried, the yellow is bleached away, resulting in this simple, stark textile. Filled with cultural significance and symbolism, we love our Black and White African Mudcloth as a global layer or wall hanging. Handmade from start to finish, no two are alike.

Furniture/Large Items

  • LOADING DOCK DELIVERY — Your order will be shipped to a local warehouse or receiving agent. Access to a loading dock is required. Arrives in 1-2 weeks.
  • FRONT DOOR DELIVERY — Your order will be shipped to a local delivery company, who will contact you to set up delivery. They will leave your wrapped order at the first dry/secure area. Arrives in 1-2 weeks.
  • WHITE GLOVE DELIVERY — Your order will be shipped to a local delivery company, who will contact you to set up delivery. They will unwarp, inspect, assemble and place your item in your home. Arrives in 2-3 weeks.

Return Policy

Non-furniture Merchandise
Return non-furniture items purchased on our website within 30 days of original delivery for a full refund. We will inspect the returned item(s) and issue a refund to the same credit card used for original purchase. You will receive a confirmation email once we have processed your credit. All shipping charges are non-refundable and will be deducted from your refund.


In-stock Furniture Items

We accept returns of furniture in its original condition when you contact us within 14 days of receiving your item. To receive a full refund, call us at 800.472.1885 or email us at returns@jaysonhome.com. We will arrange to have the item(s) picked up by a local freight company, who will contact you to coordinate pick up. Once returned to our warehouse, we will inspect your item(s) and issue a refund accordingly. Damage or other conditional issues may require deductions from your refund. All shipping charges are non-refundable and will be deducted from your refund.
