Our Mourad Collection of distinctive green ceramics comes from the village of Tamegroute in the Zagora region of Morocco. The clay is dug from local river banks, thrown by hand and fired in kilns built into steep slopes. Oxidized copper produces the characteristic green glaze. Tagine is the name of a slow-simmered stew of North Africa, and also the pot in which the tagine is cooked. Our Mourad Tagine is for decorative use and features a brass cap and brass rim detail, highlighting its unique green glaze. Expect imperfections that make your tagine truly one-of-a-kind.
