For the past five years, chef Mina Stone has been cooking lunches three days a week for the artist Urs Fischer and his staff at his Red Hook studio. She also serves post-opening dinners for the gallerist Gavin Brown and cooks for the painter Elizabeth Peyton. Informed by many lessons learned from her Greek grandmother (her yiayia), Mina's recipes are based on simple, fresh, seasonal food. They also include stories of how each came about. The beautiful close-up food photography was shot by Mina herself. The book is designed by the author Urs Fischer, and also includes original artworks by many of the artists that Mina has come to know and feed.
