This pretty piece is a collaboration between two of our favorite makers — the legendary ceramicist Astier de Villatte and celebrated designer John Derian — and takes its inspiration from classic Dutch delftware. A type of tin-glazed pottery made in the Netherlands since the 16th century, delftware’s iconic blue-and-white palette and elegant designs were in turn derived from traditional Chinese pottery. Talk about art inspiring art! Handcrafted in Astier’s Paris workshop using locally-sourced black terracotta clay and dipped in the brand’s signature milky white glaze, this platter is finished with hand-painted ornamental designs in colorful, vivid hues from Derian's expansive collection of antique imagery, creating a dead ringer for authentic delftware. All other non-furniture items can be returned for a full refund, as long as they are returned within either 30 days of purchase if bought in store or 30 days after the order was received if bought on our website. We will inspect the returned item(s) and issue a refund to the same credit card used for original purchase. You will receive a confirmation email once we have processed your credit. All shipping charges are non-refundable and will be deducted from your refund.
