Named for the Japanese for “baby turtle” because of its charming yet functional shape, this little dish scrub was first handmade in Tokyo over one hundred years ago using natural palm fibers bound together with galvanized wire — and it has been a staple in Japanese households ever since. Specially designed to fit comfortably in the hand, its coarse texture makes it great for scrubbing stubborn messes off of frying pan, cast iron pots, colanders and other heavy-duty dishes. It can also be used to remove dirt from root vegetables, peel fresh produce without removing too much of its nutrient-rich skin or for giving sinks, stovetops and other surfaces a deep clean. Return Policy

Non-furniture Merchandise
Return non-furniture items purchased on our website within 30 days of original delivery for a full refund. We will inspect the returned item(s) and issue a refund to the same credit card used for original purchase. You will receive a confirmation email once we have processed your credit. All shipping charges are non-refundable and will be deducted from your refund.


In-stock Furniture Items

We accept returns of furniture in its original condition when you contact us within 14 days of receiving your item. We will arrange to have the item(s) picked up by a local freight company, who will contact you to coordinate pick up. Once returned to our warehouse, we will inspect your item(s) and issue a refund accordingly. Damage or other conditional issues may require deductions from your refund.
