From Belgian candle brand Maison Louis Marie, this special edition holiday candle is inspired by founder and candlemaker Marie du Petit Thouars’ great-great-great-grandfather, the Belgian chemist and inventor Ernest Solvay. Along with his scientific pursuits, Solvay had a passion for nature and exploring and was particularly fond of climbing the Matterhorn. After experiencing firsthand the dangers and harsh conditions of the Alps on one of his own expeditions, Solvay had a tiny cabin built just below the Matterhorn’s peak in 1915, which served as a refuge for any climber who was stuck in bad weather. Made from a soy wax blend and finished with a cotton wick, this candle is a departure from the brand’s usual floral scents, evoking that cozy Alpine cabin with inviting, smoky notes of applewood, amber, citron, clove leaf, canella bark, white birch, oakmoss, sandalwood and cedarwood. Return Policy

Non-furniture Merchandise
Return non-furniture items purchased on our website within 30 days of original delivery for a full refund. We will inspect the returned item(s) and issue a refund to the same credit card used for original purchase. You will receive a confirmation email once we have processed your credit. All shipping charges are non-refundable and will be deducted from your refund.


In-stock Furniture Items

We accept returns of furniture in its original condition when you contact us within 14 days of receiving your item. We will arrange to have the item(s) picked up by a local freight company, who will contact you to coordinate pick up. Once returned to our warehouse, we will inspect your item(s) and issue a refund accordingly. Damage or other conditional issues may require deductions from your refund.
