Product info

With its solid form and stark black hue, our weighty Java Bench is sure to command some well-deserved attention wherever it goes. This one-of-a-kind piece comes to us from the Indonesian island of Java, where it was handcrafted from a repurposed teak farm trough, or lesung in the Bahasa language. Drawing on centuries of traditional wood burning techniques, it’s coated with several layers of a squid ink and shellac mixture, which is charred while still wet to create a deep charcoal finish. Simple yet striking, our Java Bench is perfect as a statement-making seat in a spacious entryway but could also double as a long, global-inspired coffee table in the living room. True reclaimed pieces, each of our Java Benches is unique and variations in size and organic characteristics should be expected.

Furniture/Large Items

  • LOADING DOCK DELIVERY — Your order will be shipped to a local warehouse or receiving agent. Access to a loading dock is required. Arrives in 1-2 weeks.
  • FRONT DOOR DELIVERY — Your order will be shipped to a local delivery company, who will contact you to set up delivery. They will leave your wrapped order at the first dry/secure area. Arrives in 1-2 weeks.
  • WHITE GLOVE DELIVERY — Your order will be shipped to a local delivery company, who will contact you to set up delivery. They will unwarp, inspect, assemble and place your item in your home. Arrives in 2-3 weeks.

Return Policy

Non-furniture Merchandise
Return non-furniture items purchased on our website within 30 days of original delivery for a full refund. We will inspect the returned item(s) and issue a refund to the same credit card used for original purchase. You will receive a confirmation email once we have processed your credit. All shipping charges are non-refundable and will be deducted from your refund.


In-stock Furniture Items

We accept returns of furniture in its original condition when you contact us within 14 days of receiving your item. To receive a full refund, call us at 800.472.1885 or email us at returns@jaysonhome.com. We will arrange to have the item(s) picked up by a local freight company, who will contact you to coordinate pick up. Once returned to our warehouse, we will inspect your item(s) and issue a refund accordingly. Damage or other conditional issues may require deductions from your refund. All shipping charges are non-refundable and will be deducted from your refund.
