Bees have been at the heart of Cire Trudon’s history from the very beginning. The world’s oldest candle manufacturer still active today, the brand began crafting its signature line from carefully harvested beeswax in the 17th century. The Cire Candle is a symbol of that storied heritage, scented with emanations of beeswax absolute, warm honey, sweet perfumes and spice that harken back to the atelier’s early days. It is poured into a limited edition amber glass jar and finished with the brand’s signature emblem and the motto “Dei regique laborant,” or “They work for God and the King.” As a tribute to the role that these beloved pollinators have played in their products over the centuries, Cire Trudon has joined forces with the Orne Dark Bee Conservatory to raise awareness and help preserve the diminishing bee populations on the Perche Regional Nature Park. Cire Trudon will donate four percent of all sales of The Cire Candle towards this conservation project.
